My story
Growing up, my grandfather taught me to feel a connection to the lands and water that we lived on and would tell me stories of our Indigenous heritage. I always knew I wanted to help people in some way, but it wasn’t until I was much older that I found my true love for herbal medicine.
Being in the closet and hiding who I was for 24 years finally took a toll on my health. The stress, anxiety, and poor lifestyle that I was living led to me breaking out in Psoriasis all over my body.
I knew I wanted to find a natural way to help support my body, and this was when I first connected with an Ayurvedic doctor. The clinical world of herbalism and holistic health was everything I’d been waiting for, and I eventually left my full-time job to focus on my career as a Clinical Herbalist.
